About QNX

QNX develops microkernel operating systems in which drivers, networking and other services run outside the kernel as isolated processes. QNX Software Development Platform 8.0 provides the operating system, toolchain, middleware and development environment for software-defined vehicles, industrial systems, medical devices and other embedded equipment requiring deterministic behaviour and fault containment.

Its hypervisors allow QNX, Linux, Android and other operating environments to share a processor while keeping safety-critical functions separated from infotainment or application workloads. The portfolio also includes certified operating systems and hypervisors for functional-safety programmes, alongside Alloy Kore, Cabin and embedded development products. QNX licences the foundational software to equipment manufacturers and semiconductor partners and supplies integration engineering, certification artefacts and long-term lifecycle support.
