About RoBoa
RoBoa moves through eversion: a flexible textile tube turns inside out at the tip and lengthens into the environment while its rear section remains largely stationary against the surrounding walls. This allows the robot to advance through tight, irregular or fragile spaces without dragging its full length across the surface.
An active steering module directs the growing tip around bends and obstructions. Modular heads carry cameras, sensors or cable-deployment tools, while a portable base manages power, communications and control. Operators use a phone application to pilot the robot, view diagnostics and initiate supported autonomous workflows.
