About RT Corporation
RT Corporation develops robot hardware, control software and AI systems for research, education, food handling and industrial service work. Founded in Tokyo in 2005, it has produced humanoid, mobile-manipulator and quadruped platforms while supporting ROS-based development and deployment.
Its current quadruped programme includes Mujina, a made-to-order research model, and a newer industrial inspection prototype developed with NSK. The inspection platform remains in prototype and validation: RT plans customer trials before a targeted production-model launch around spring 2028, so those future milestones are not recorded as achieved production.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-09-25 - Product Launch - RT discloses NSK-backed inspection quadruped prototype
The prototype is about 20 kg, measures roughly 900 × 400 × 500 mm while standing, and can carry up to 7 kg of equipment. The planned demonstration includes stair and slope traversal, autonomous patrol, and meter-reading workflows. RT is targeting a production-model launch around spring 2028; the current machine remains at prototype and validation stage.
Source - 2024-02-21 - Partnership - RT appoints ID Miner as Taiwan robotics reseller
The dealer list included RT humanoids Muriqui, Gorilla, Bonobo and Sciurus17. It also covered mobile learning robots and CRANE+ V2 and CRANE-X7 robot arms. RT said the channel would provide its robotics teaching know-how through ID Miner for Taiwanese engineer training.
Source - 2024-01-24 - Product Launch - RT opens orders for customizable Muriqui humanoid
Buyers could customize joint axes, sensors such as cameras and microphones, and the exterior. RT offered ROS 2 software and a Gazebo simulation package; MuJoCo support was a future plan. RT quoted an approximately two-month or longer lead time for customized orders.
Source - 2023-11-21 - Partnership - RT Corporation signs ROBOTIS sales agreements for Korea and the US
ROBOTIS is to handle the Gorilla, Bonobo and Sciurus17 humanoids and the CRANE-X7 arm. The agreements include ROBOTIS USA, identified by RT as a wholly owned ROBOTIS subsidiary. RT says these research robots use ROBOTIS servo motors and will be sold through ROBOTIS’s distribution network.
Source - 2023-07-12 - Product Launch - RT Corporation launches Gorilla humanoid with ROBOTIS Japan
ROBOTIS Japan supplies DYNAMIXEL actuators and selected frame parts for Gorilla. RT manufactures other electronics and aluminium frames, adapts the software, and handles sales and support. The research robot was offered on a made-to-order basis with an estimated six-month lead time.
Source - 2021-06-10 - Product Launch - RT debuts 120 cm Bonobo platform for walking robot research
The 120 cm robot was designed with arm proportions based on a small adult. RT specified motors below 80 W at every joint and a structure designed to reduce pinching risk. A head-mounted depth camera was standard for object recognition and obstacle-aware arm-motion research.
