About SECOM
SECOM provides security systems, monitoring and guarding services and develops robots to assist its security staff. Its cocobo mobile robot patrols predetermined routes in commercial facilities, avoiding people and obstacles while collecting images, sound and other sensor information. AI-assisted detection sends alerts to a monitoring console so security personnel can assess conditions and respond.
The robot can return to its charging port and can be configured with optional building-system links, thermal sensing and inspection attachments. Elevator integration supports movement between floors, while a public-road version extends the patrol offering under applicable operating rules. Door-lock checking with an arm remains described as under development. SECOM combines robotic patrol with human monitoring and its wider electronic-security services; detecting an anomaly does not mean the robot independently resolves every incident.
