About Sierra Nevada Corporation
Sierra Nevada Corporation develops aircraft, mission systems, sensing, communications and autonomous platforms from a privately owned aerospace and defence group headquartered in Sparks, Nevada. Eren and Fatih Ozmen have owned the company since 1994, and its robotics scope sits within a much broader multi-domain engineering and integration portfolio.
AEGIR is SNC’s uncrewed maritime family. The AEGIR-W long-endurance vessel supports intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, while the 49-foot AEGIR-H provides two payload bays for larger mission packages. Both use modular hardware and open architecture, and SNC presents the family as capable of autonomous or remote-control operation. Fairlead is the announced domestic construction and integration partner for the largest variant.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-10-15 - Demonstration - GA-ASI flight-tests SNC electronic-support system on Gray Eagle ER
The small-form-factor ESM is designed to detect hostile integrated air-defence systems beyond their weapon-engagement zones. Gray Eagle’s open architecture accommodates the modular sensing upgrade. The capability supports crewed–uncrewed teaming and follows earlier exercise demonstrations of other Gray Eagle upgrades.

The DuraCOR 820 provides the processing capability for Sierra Nevada’s automatic take-off and landing system on the TAI ANKA UAS. Curtiss-Wright manufactured the rugged mission computers in Salt Lake City and shipped them to Sierra Nevada in Sparks, Nevada. The ANKA medium-altitude long-endurance aircraft supports Turkish Armed Forces surveillance, reconnaissance and combat missions.
