About SRI Sensor
SRI Sensor manufactures multi-axis transducers that resolve forces and moments applied to a robot or test system. Six-axis models measure Fx, Fy and Fz together with torque around each axis through calibrated strain-sensitive structures and signal conditioning. The range includes standard wrist sensors, multi-axis load cells and miniature devices as small as roughly six millimetres in diameter for confined precision mechanisms.
A developer mounts the sensor between a robot arm and tool, inside a gripper or within a test fixture, then uses its measurements for contact detection and closed-loop force control. Applications include polishing, assembly, medical robots, prosthetics and component testing where position alone cannot describe the interaction. SRI also supplies amplifiers, calibration and customised mechanical or electrical interfaces around the required capacity and resolution.
