Tersus GNSS
About
About Tersus GNSS
Tersus GNSS develops centimetre-level positioning equipment for surveying, mapping, construction and autonomous systems. Its portfolio spans GNSS receivers and boards, inertial navigation, correction services and mobile-mapping platforms, allowing integrators to select embedded components or complete field systems.
The MVP family combines GNSS and inertial positioning with lidar or visual sensors for vehicle, backpack and handheld capture. MVP B1 supports airborne lidar mapping, MVP S1 and S2 address portable SLAM surveys, and MVP100 and MVP400 serve vehicle-based collection. Tersus software processes trajectories, point clouds and survey observations into georeferenced outputs for engineering, asset documentation and spatial-data workflows.

Timeline
Events
- 2026-03-26 - Demonstration - Tersus validates MVP S2 across difficult mapping environments
An MVP S2 field demonstration at Red Rocks Amphitheatre maintained stable SLAM and consistent point-cloud density on steep terrain. A separate Valhalla Instruments demonstration mapped a repetitive corrugated pipe while avoiding the registration failures seen in the comparison workflow. The paired demonstrations showed the scanner maintaining registration in environments where elevation change or repeated geometry can challenge mobile-mapping systems.
Source - 2026-02-26 - Product Launch - Tersus releases MX206 GNSS module for autonomous systems
The 17 by 22 millimetre module combines multi-constellation GNSS, TAP satellite corrections and PPP-RTK mode switching. Tersus specifies 20 Hz RTK output, 350 mW standard power consumption and interfaces including CAN, UART, SPI and I2C. The module targets drones, UGVs, autonomous robots and self-driving platforms requiring centimetre-level positioning.
Source - 2025-03-23 - Product Launch - Tersus releases MVP S2 mobile SLAM scanner
The system supports handheld and backpack operation for scanning across buildings, infrastructure and uneven outdoor terrain. Integrated LiDAR, panoramic imaging and RTK provide georeferenced point clouds for mapping, BIM and transportation workflows. Moving-object filtering is designed to remove transient people and vehicles from captured point-cloud data.
Source - 2024-08-26 - Partnership - Tersus appoints North American master distributor
The agreement made the Tersus positioning portfolio available through Desert Creative Group across the North American market. Desert Creative Group contributes geospatial-sector and commercial distribution experience to the channel relationship. Tersus framed the appointment as an expansion of regional sales coverage and customer support for positioning products.
Source - 2019-01-10 - Product Launch - Tersus releases GeoCaster correction software
GeoCaster implements the NTRIP protocol and supports multiple online bases with multiple rovers assigned to each base. The software provides real-time operating statistics and user-defined permission controls for correction-network operators. Tersus identified automated vehicles, UAVs, machine control and robotics among the intended application areas.
Source - 2018-08-21 - Product Launch - Tersus introduces integrated UAV PPK solution
The package combines a BX316R PPK receiver, AX3705 helix antenna and Tersus GeoPix processing software. GeoPix handles GNSS post-processing, event-mark interpolation and image geotagging for downstream photogrammetry software. The workflow was designed to reduce or eliminate ground-control points without requiring a real-time RTK correction link.
