About ANavS
ANavS was founded in 2011 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich and remains headquartered in Munich, with an additional office near Innsbruck. The engineering company combines patented RTK and PPP positioning methods with inertial sensing, odometry, UWB and vision or LiDAR-based SLAM. Products package those algorithms with embedded hardware for field deployment.
The company is tracked as a localisation component and infrastructure provider rather than a vehicle builder. Its systems can provide centimetre-level position, attitude and ground-truth data for robots, autonomous road vehicles, rail equipment, drones and agricultural machines, including transitions between GNSS-rich and indoor or obstructed environments. Accuracy depends on configuration, sensors, corrections and operating conditions; Korthos therefore avoids presenting one headline figure as universal across every product and deployment.
