About TIER IV
TIER IV develops the Autoware open-source software stack and commercial development platforms for autonomous driving. Autoware runs on ROS and Linux and covers sensing, localisation, perception, planning, control, vehicle interfaces and map handling, giving vehicle developers a hardware-agnostic foundation that can be adapted across vehicle designs.
Pilot.Auto packages scalable reference designs and software for defined driving applications, while Web.Auto supplies data management, machine learning, simulation, maps, fleet management, software updates, dispatch and remote support. Edge.Auto adds reference sensor and compute kits. TIER IV combines these layers with integration, safety assessment and deployment services for passenger transport, logistics and other autonomous-vehicle programmes.
