Ottopia’s Remote Chauffeur platform connects fleet operators to autonomous vehicles through software in the vehicle, a remote-driving station and management tools. The onboard unit can accept up to eight GMSL2 camera feeds and runs on rugged IP67, MIL-STD-810H hardware with local storage. Network software combines available links, schedules packets and applies forward-error correction to preserve video and command quality as bandwidth and latency change.
An operator can provide remote assistance, issue a high-level instruction or directly control the vehicle when autonomy cannot complete a situation. Ottopia’s Advanced Teleoperator Assistance System places a dynamic safety envelope around those commands and can modify or block an unsafe trajectory. Fleet managers assign sessions, monitor communications and retain operating records through the control layer. The platform is designed for logistics, transit, industrial and defence-adjacent fleets, letting customers add human fallback to their own autonomous machines rather than replacing the underlying autonomy stack.
