About Vertical Aerospace

Vertical and Near Earth intend to integrate Near Earth’s autonomous-flight products with the Honeywell Anthem avionics architecture used by Valo. The programme targets near-term uncrewed defence missions while creating a longer-term route toward more automated commercial operations.

The autonomy work remains governed by a non-binding memorandum and has not yet produced an operational autonomous Valo fleet. Valo itself remains a piloted four-passenger aircraft, while the planned hybrid variant and autonomy integration broaden the platform toward logistics, resupply and other government missions.
