About Wisk Aero

Wisk Aero is developing Generation 6, a four-seat electric vertical-takeoff aircraft designed to carry passengers without an onboard pilot. Twelve propellers are distributed across wing-mounted booms: forward units tilt between lift and cruise, while aft units provide vertical lift. The aircraft targets a 120-knot cruise, a 90-mile range with reserves and operation between 2,500 and 4,000 feet above ground.

Flight software uses deterministic decision logic, redundant sensing and detect-and-avoid functions, with ground-based supervisors overseeing multiple aircraft and able to intervene. Wisk is pursuing FAA type certification for autonomous passenger service and completed Generation 6's first vertical takeoff, hover and stabilised manoeuvres in December 2025. The Boeing-owned company is building the aircraft, ground-control system and operating concept as one commercial air-taxi service.
