About

About L12-I Micro Linear Actuator, 100mm 100:1 12V

Actuonix’s L12-I Micro Linear Actuator, 100mm 100:1 12V is the exact L12 configuration combining a 100-millimetre stroke, 100:1 gearbox and 12-volt motor. The 56-gram actuator is 152 millimetres between mounting holes when retracted, travels at 13 millimetres per second without load and is rated for a maximum 42-newton load. Actuonix lists 22 newtons as its backdrive force.

An internal position controller accepts voltage, current or hobby radio-control input, allowing a host controller to command extension without separate closed-loop electronics. Peak mechanical efficiency occurs around a 17-newton load for this gearing. Stroke, voltage and gear ratio are coupled to the force, speed and closed length values, so figures from other L12-I variants do not apply. Linkages, mounting, duty cycle and host logic establish the completed mechanism’s motion.
