About Mk1 PIONEER
Mk1 PIONEER is ACUA Ocean's 14-metre SWATH uncrewed surface vessel for persistent offshore sensing and remote operations. Its twin-hull form provides a stable host for survey, communications and subsea-robotics payloads supervised from an onshore remote operating centre.
A June 2026 trial kept the vessel offshore for more than 100 hours without physical intervention while operating hydrographic and radio-frequency payloads. That result documents one Mk1 demonstration; the planned Mk2 payload and endurance figures do not apply to this vessel.
