IronBOT lifts bundled transverse and longitudinal rebar, transports it across a bridge deck, separates individual bars and places them onto the developing reinforcement mat. The system handles more than 5,000 pounds per hour, reducing the manual carrying and repetitive positioning normally performed by a large crew.

A trained Robot Supervisor coordinates the machine with field workers, who continue alignment, spacing and specialised placement around obstructions. IronBOT is offered through a robot-as-a-service model and is commonly paired with TyBOT, which ties the intersections after placement. The system has operated on active bridge-construction projects.

    2023-03-20 - Product Launch - IronBOT was presented as ACR's second product after TyBOT. The robot is designed to lift, carry, and place rebar bundles weighing up to 5,000 pounds. ACR positioned the TyBOT and IronBOT bundle for schedule savings on horizontal rebar installation.
