AP-LiDAR-One GEN II
About
About AP-LiDAR-One GEN II
AP-LiDAR-One GEN II is Aerial Precision’s LiDAR payload for aerial and mobile three-dimensional mapping. The 650-gram unit combines a 32-channel scanner, dual L1/L5 GNSS receivers and synchronized inertial data. It reaches 300 metres, captures up to 1.9 million points per second and is rated for three-centimetre system accuracy with triple returns.
Operators mount the payload on platforms such as the DJI M350 or Freefly Astro, record data to USB-C storage and process it locally after flight. Recommended missions use heights from 10 to 100 metres and speeds from one to 15 metres per second. The system can colour point clouds with RGB, thermal or multispectral imagery; aircraft autonomy remains supplied by the host drone.
Timeline
- Aerial Precision adds dual-band GNSS to second-generation LiDAR sensors
2023-12-22 - Capability - Both second-generation sensors used dual L1/L5 GNSS antennas to improve heading and positioning accuracy in challenging environments. The configuration reduced the need for calibration procedures while supporting consistent point-cloud alignment. The sensors combined the GNSS architecture with real-time LiDAR processing for aerial and mobile mapping workflows.
