Switchblade 600

Switchblade 600 is AeroVironment's tube-launched loitering munition for reconnaissance, target confirmation and precision engagement of armoured or hardened targets. A stabilised electro-optical and infrared sensor sends video to the fire-control unit, keeping an operator in the decision loop through target identification and engagement. The air vehicle and launch equipment are packaged as a self-contained round that can be deployed from ground positions, vehicles and integrated aerial platforms.

The munition weighs 15 kilograms and the complete round 29.5 kilograms. AeroVironment states endurance above 40 minutes, baseline range beyond 40 kilometres and range above 90 kilometres when a forward data relay is used. Published speeds are 113 kilometres per hour while loitering and 185 kilometres per hour in a sprint. An anti-armour payload is integral to this specific model. Effective range, data-link performance and authorised use depend on the fielded configuration, operating environment and the procuring authority's rules of engagement.
