About

About Ava Mobile Base

Ava Mobile Base is an omnidirectional autonomous mobile platform for third-party payloads in commercial indoor environments. The January 2025 brochure specifies a 36-kilogram payload, one-metre-per-second maximum speed, up to 11 hours of operation without payload power draw and a 79.4-centimetre payload-interface height.

Two-dimensional LiDAR, two 3D cameras, four cliff sensors and an IMU support path planning and collision avoidance. The interface exposes Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 5-, 12-, 18- and 36-volt power options, while local or cloud APIs support application development. Johnson Controls’ Tyco Security Robot is a named physical configuration powered by the Ava Mobile Base; that integration is recorded as observed use rather than implying that security patrol is native to every base.
