About BHI360 Smart IMU
BHI360 combines a six-axis inertial sensor with a programmable 32-bit processor inside a 2.5 by 3 millimetre package. The device measures acceleration and angular velocity, then runs Bosch sensor-fusion and motion algorithms locally. Processing data within the sensor reduces the volume of raw measurements sent to the host processor and lowers system power demand.
Developers can configure the embedded software through Bosch’s development environment and add application-specific algorithms for orientation, gesture, activity and motion tracking. The device operates from a 1.8 V supply and is intended for compact connected products, wearables, controllers and embedded motion systems. Its programmable architecture also supports robotics and industrial sensing designs with constrained space and compute budgets.
