About IIM-42652 Industrial IMU

IIM-42652 is a six-axis industrial inertial measurement unit combining a three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer in a 2.5-by-3-by-0.91-millimetre LGA package. It supplies motion measurements to a host processor for navigation, orientation, tilt sensing, platform stabilisation and robotics control. The device includes 16-bit converters, a temperature sensor and a 2-kilobyte FIFO for buffering samples.

Selectable gyroscope ranges run from plus or minus 15.625 to 2,000 degrees per second, while the accelerometer covers plus or minus 2, 4, 8 or 16 g. Host communication is available through I3C, I2C or SPI, and an external 31-to-50-kilohertz clock can support timing synchronisation. TDK rates the component for a 1.71-to-3.6-volt supply and 20,000-g shock survival; system-level navigation accuracy still depends on calibration, mounting and sensor fusion.
