Boxfish ROV

About

About Boxfish ROV

Boxfish ROV uses eight vectored thrusters for six-degree-of-freedom movement and precise positioning around subsea structures. A one-inch-sensor 4K camera, forward and rear navigation cameras and adjustable high-CRI lighting support observation, research and inspection.

The battery-powered vehicle operates for four to 15 hours and is rated to 500 metres, with a 1,000-metre option. External ports connect sonar, grippers, navigation and environmental sensors. A neutrally buoyant fibre tether carries video, telemetry and control between the vehicle and its surface console.
