About

About Medical HAL Lower Limb Type

Medical HAL Lower Limb Type is a powered wearable system for gait impairment associated with spinal cord injury, stroke, cerebral palsy and specified neurological or neuromuscular disorders. Non-invasive sensors detect faint bio-electrical signals on the skin and use them to assist the wearer’s intended hip and knee movement. The HAL Monitor displays control signals, balance and gait-cycle information for the clinical operator.

The current line includes adult HAL-ML08, smaller HAL-ML07 and earlier HAL-ML05 configurations. Adult wearer ranges extend from 150 to 190 centimetres and 40 to 100 kilograms; the smaller model covers approximately 100 to 150 centimetres and 15 to 50 kilograms. Operating time is about one hour, with double-leg device weight from roughly 9.5 to 14 kilograms by model. Regulatory clearances and indications vary by market, and trained healthcare professionals supervise treatment.
