About Next Generation Skypod System
The current Skypod system uses mobile robots that travel across the warehouse floor and climb storage racks to retrieve totes. Robots deliver inventory to workstations for item picking, case handling, buffering, sequencing and packing.
The next-generation robot moves faster and climbs higher racks, while the redesigned Exchanger transfers totes between the robot fleet and workstations. Deepsky software manages inventory, routes and task priority. Exotec installs the system as scalable warehouse infrastructure and supports it through deployment and lifecycle services.
