M-900iB/280

FANUC M-900iB/280 is a six-axis industrial robot engineered for processes that place high forces on the tool. It carries 280 kg across a 2,655 mm reach, repeats to ±0.1 mm and weighs 1,700 kg. The arm's high-rigidity casting and compact wrist target accurate handling, joining and machining of large parts in automotive, aerospace, powertrain and other heavy-industry cells.

Floor, angle and inverted mounting options let integrators position the robot around large workpieces. The wrist and J3 arm are IP67 protected, while body protection is IP54 as standard with IP56 optional. FANUC specifies about 3 kW average power consumption and uses the R-30iB Plus controller generation for current integrations. This standard-reach model remains separate from the M-900iB/280L, which retains 280 kg payload but extends reach beyond three metres.
