About FD20

FD20 records the position of each seed during sowing and later uses those coordinates to guide mechanical tools both between rows and between plants. This RTK-based workflow lets the same solar field robot perform precision seeding and repeated weed control without relying on crop recognition for every pass. FarmDroid also offers a spot-spraying option, which is a separate configured function alongside the mechanical system.

The current 2025 v2.6 specification covers two to twelve rows, spacing from 22.5 centimetres and a working width up to 3.5 metres. Standard mass is 1,250 kilograms and stated daily capacity reaches six hectares. A six-kilowatt-hour battery can provide up to twelve hours of extra operation beyond solar input. Soil, wetness, working depth, crop setup, slope and weather determine field speed and coverage.
