About Franka Research 3 Duo
FR3 Duo combines two Franka Research 3 arms in a defined tabletop configuration for bimanual manipulation. Each seven-axis arm provides joint-torque sensing, approximately three kilograms of payload and low-level control at one kilohertz, enabling coordinated contact-rich experiments that require direct access below the application layer.
The package aligns robot placement, cameras, end effectors and software so experiments can be reproduced between laboratories. Teleoperation and data-capture tools support demonstration collection, while policies can be trained and executed through established research interfaces. FR3 Duo remains a prototype research configuration for dual-arm experimentation and application development.
