About Furhat Robot
Furhat is a stationary social-robot platform built around a back-projected face and a three-axis pan, tilt and roll neck. A 3.4-megapixel RGB camera, onboard and bundled microphone arrays, dual speakers and controllable LED ring support face-to-face conversational experiments and applications. Swappable masks and software-defined facial animation allow developers to configure different characters without replacing the core unit.
The 3.5-kilogram robot measures 410 × 270 × 240 mm and contains an Intel Core i5 computer, 8 GB of memory and 120 GB of storage. FurhatOS, the SDK, Realtime API and AI prototyping tools provide routes for building dialogue, perception and external-service integrations. The platform is used for research, education and designed conversational experiences where teams control content, data handling and deployment context.
