GR-3

About

About GR-3

GR-3 is Fourier's full-size humanoid for conversation, companionship and other human-facing interactions. Introduced in 2025, it combines a roughly 165-centimetre body with 55 degrees of freedom and a soft exterior. Its multimodal interaction system integrates vision, audio and tactile sensing to locate voices, follow nearby people and respond to touch.

A hybrid control architecture combines rapid physical responses with language-model reasoning for context-sensitive interaction. At CES 2026, GR-3 performed scheduled dance routines and played live chess with visitors, alongside conversational and touch-based activities. Fourier targets homes, public spaces, commercial venues and assisted settings with the platform. Development centres on expressive movement, perception and social behaviour, with demonstrated exhibition activities forming its current application record.

Context

Market context

GR-3 is Fourier care-focused humanoid designed for homes, clinics and public settings where approachability and safe interaction matter.

  • Target environment: Homes, clinics, care facilities and public-facing indoor environments.
  • Workflow context: Care support, human interaction, assistance and safe operation in human-centered environments.
  • Customer context: Healthcare providers, care facilities and consumers seeking assistive humanoid platforms.
  • Deployment model: Commercial humanoid platform from a rehabilitation and humanoid robotics company.
  • Commercial maturity: Commercially positioned care-focused humanoid with a clear design emphasis on softness and approachability.
  • Adoption constraints: Designed for interaction and care rather than industrial throughput. Safety validation in care settings is critical.
  • Market position: One of the clearer care-oriented humanoid bets, showing how the product changes when softness and acceptance matter more than factory throughput.
  • Adjacent products: GR-1, care humanoids
