About

About CW-15

JOUAV CW-15 is an electric fixed-wing VTOL aircraft for mapping, inspection, surveillance and emergency-response data collection. Vertical take-off and landing removes the need for a runway, while fixed-wing cruise extends coverage after transition. The airframe accepts payloads up to 3 kilograms, including mapping cameras, electro-optical and thermal gimbals, lidar and other mission sensors. FlightSurv and Eagle Map software cover flight planning, collection, processing and live surveillance workflows.

The aircraft has a 3.54-metre wingspan and 2.06-metre fuselage. JOUAV states endurance up to 180 minutes when empty or 120 minutes with its MG-120E gimbal, a 61-kilometre-per-hour cruise speed, 6,500-metre ceiling and take-off altitude up to 4,500 metres. Automated pre-flight checks, compass calibration, obstacle avoidance and ADS-B traffic detection support operation. Those figures are manufacturer test values: payload, wind, altitude, temperature and software configuration determine usable endurance and positioning performance in a deployed survey.
