About Open-Q 6490CS SOM

Open-Q 6490CS packages Qualcomm’s QCS6490 processor, memory, storage and high-speed interfaces within a compact system-on-module. CPU, GPU, DSP and AI accelerators support local vision and neural-network workloads, while the module exposes several camera inputs for multicamera sensing and perception.

Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular-ready interfaces, USB and PCIe connect the module with sensors, radios and external compute. Lantronix supplies a development kit, Linux and Android software and long-lifecycle engineering support for drones, robots, smart cameras and industrial systems. The SOM integrates into an OEM carrier board with application-specific power, connectors and peripherals.

  • Lantronix and Swarmer develop Group 1 UAS autonomy compute module

    2026-07-30 - Partnership - The custom module combines Lantronix Open-Q 6490CS hardware with preloaded Swarmer OS. The companies say the design provides more than four times the onboard processing of current platforms for navigation, targeting and collaborative autonomy. The programme targets a production-ready, NDAA-compliant module for small military uncrewed aircraft.
