Leddar Pixell

Leddar Pixell is a legacy 905-nanometre flash lidar for detecting pedestrians, cyclists and nearby obstacles around commercial, transit and off-road vehicles. Three optical heads illuminate a combined 177.5-degree horizontal by 16-degree vertical field, producing 96 by eight angular segments without a mechanical scanner. The sensor sends depth returns over 100BASE-T1 automotive Ethernet at rates up to 20 hertz.

LeddarTech specifies pedestrian detection to 32 metres and range of 20 metres on a 10-percent-reflective target. The 2.1-kilogram fanless enclosure is rated IP67, operates from minus 30 to 65 degrees Celsius and carries Class 1 laser classification. It supplies detections to a host perception system; tracking and vehicle action require external software and controls. LeddarTech's 2025 bankruptcy ended active commercial continuity, so Pixell is treated as discontinued despite surviving technical documentation.
