About Lunar Outpost MAPP

MAPP is Lunar Outpost's configurable commercial rover for lunar mapping, resource detection, surface analysis and partner payload missions. The platform is offered as mobility capacity rather than as a single fixed science package, allowing several commercial or research customers to share one mission and receive rover sensor data.

The first MAPP reached the Moon on Intuitive Machines' IM-2 mission in March 2025 and operated during transit and after landing, but the lander came to rest on its side and trapped the rover's garage, preventing surface deployment. Lunar Outpost continues to offer MAPP missions and has announced follow-on lunar assignments.
