Toumai Surgical Robot

About

About Toumai Surgical Robot

Toumai is a surgeon-controlled robotic platform for minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures. Multiple articulated instrument arms reproduce wrist movement inside the patient, while the surgeon console provides magnified three-dimensional vision, tremor filtering and scaled control for suturing, dissection and tissue handling.

The system supports procedures across urology, general surgery, gynecology and thoracic surgery. Its telesurgery architecture transmits console commands, instrument status and operative video through 5G, broadband, dedicated fibre and satellite networks. MicroPort MedBot supplies clinical training, instruments and dedicated support for authorised hospital installations.
