About CMR Surgical Versius Plus
CMR Surgical Versius Plus is a modular robotic-assisted surgical system for minimally invasive soft-tissue procedures. Its separate portable arm units can be positioned around the operating table and the surgeon works from an open console, preserving communication with the bedside team. The system combines fully wristed instruments, 3D HD vision and optional vLimeLite fluorescence imaging with apps that track procedure logs, utilisation and operating performance.
Versius Plus is CMR’s second-generation platform and its commercial scope varies by jurisdiction. In the United States it received FDA 510(k) clearance in December 2025 for cholecystectomy in adults aged 22 and older; CMR filed a separate gynecology submission in April 2026. The modular architecture lets hospitals use only the arms required for a procedure and move the system between rooms instead of dedicating a single operating theatre.
