About mimic wearable U1
The wearable U1 uses rigid linkages to constrain a user’s hand to the same joint geometry and contact layout as mimic’s M1 robotic hand. Encoders capture each supported movement, while contact sensing and an egocentric camera record how the user interacts with objects. Mimic’s retargeting software converts the measured motion directly into the M1 action space.
Operators can collect industrial demonstrations at workstations without occupying a robotic arm or teleoperating a live production system. The resulting data forms the middle layer of mimic’s training pipeline between large-scale human video and robot deployment data. U1 is supplied as part of mimic’s vertically integrated manipulation stack covering data capture, video-action models, robotic hands and deployed automation stations.
