About Robot Vision System
Nikon Robot Vision System is an integrated vision and image-processing platform for industrial robot guidance. It combines camera hardware, recognition software and robot-path generation for workflows including bin picking, assembly and inspection.
A paid 3D tracking upgrade announced in September 2026 estimates workpiece position and orientation as objects move on a conveyor. Nikon says this lets a connected robot arm follow moving targets without an external encoder, with commercial release planned for October 2026.
