About
About RB-1 BASE
RB-1 BASE is Robotnik’s discontinued circular mobile base for indoor transport and robotics integration. Its differential-drive chassis measures 500 mm across and carries up to 50 kg, with an optional lifting unit for picking up compatible carts. The June 2024 configuration weighs 30 kg, reaches 1.55 m/s and operates for up to six hours.
An Intel i7 computer, 2D laser, IMU and RGB-D camera provide the integration hardware on a ROS architecture. The base uses a 24 V, 30 Ah battery and includes a charging station. Its design files and software remain useful for existing installations and research; Robotnik’s current simulation documentation identifies the platform as discontinued and warns that future releases may stop supporting it.
