About SHERPA-P

SHERPA-P is Sherpa Mobile Robotics’ bidirectional autonomous mobile robot for transporting pallets and crates through factories and logistics sites. Its dedicated product page rates the platform for up to 1,000 kg and 7 km/h. Available arrangements include an integrator platform, a simple platform and a pallet-lifting module, with a pickup and set-down station for the lifting workflow.

The robot supports European and US pallet formats, with special formats available on request. Mapped-space navigation and obstacle avoidance allow it to move through existing facilities, while fleet software coordinates missions and traffic. Inductive opportunity charging supports ongoing availability across work shifts. Its pallet interface, load stability and station arrangement are selected for the installation. Sherpa offers software, training, service contracts and financing as separate parts of the configured solution.

Timeline

  • Sherpa adopts Wiferion charging for SHERPA-B and SHERPA-P

    2020-08-05 - Partnership - SHERPA-B was already equipped with Wiferion's inductive charging system for container-transport workflows. Sherpa said SHERPA-P, its pallet-transport robot, would also receive the etaLINK system as the rollout expanded. The 3 kW system supported automatic in-process charging, CAN data exchange and reported energy-transfer efficiency of 93 percent.
