microScan3 Core

SICK microScan3 Core is a safety laser scanner for monitoring protective fields around machinery, mobile platforms and access areas. It scans the surrounding plane with infrared laser light and evaluates configured zones through safety-rated outputs. A 275° scanning angle lets integrators create warning and protective fields around a compact mounting position.

The Core family is intended for defined safeguarding functions within a validated machine-safety design. Protective range, resolution, scan cycle, field sets and electrical interfaces vary by exact model, so the selected order code and operating instructions govern installation. Safe performance depends on mounting geometry, response-time calculation, contamination monitoring, wiring, configuration, proof testing and the complete risk assessment; the scanner does not replace the wider safety system.
