SICK multiScan100 is a compact 3D LiDAR family for mobile robots, industrial vehicles and outdoor automation. Multiple scanning layers generate a broad point cloud used for object detection, localization and environmental mapping, including dynamic areas shared with people or vehicles. Echo evaluation and filtering are designed to maintain useful detection under rain, dust, fog and other difficult conditions.

The sensor supplies range measurements to the host vehicle or perception stack; navigation and safe motion require the surrounding control system and an application-specific safety design. Working range, field of view, scan frequency and interface options depend on the chosen multiScan100 variant. Final performance also depends on mounting, target reflectivity, contamination, weather, network configuration and the algorithms consuming the point cloud.
