About VN-310
VN-310 is VectorNav's tactical-grade dual-antenna GNSS-aided inertial navigation module. Two 184-channel GNSS receivers support heading derived from the antenna baseline, while the onboard IMU and navigation engine continue estimating attitude, position and velocity through changing satellite conditions. Navigation outputs run at up to 400 Hz and calibrated IMU data at up to 800 Hz.
The module measures 56 × 56 × 31 mm, weighs 160 g and carries an IP68 enclosure for embedded vehicle installations. It accepts 12–34 V input and consumes under 3.3 W in the published configuration. VectorNav provides the interface-control document, user manual, mechanical drawing, product brief and datasheet through its product resource library, giving integrators revisioned material beyond the marketing page.
Timeline
- VectorNav adds LEO satellite aiding for GNSS-denied navigation
2026-06-02 - Capability - The development kit combines a VN-210E embedded INS, a NAL Technologies ALTM Micro-D receiver and a one-year Iridium development licence. Testing demonstrated positioning within approximately 50 metres CEP in GNSS-denied conditions while maintaining inertial position, velocity and attitude outputs. Program-specific LEO-aiding support is available for full-size VN-210, VN-310 and VN-310E Tactical Series systems.
Source - VectorNav adds high-G sensing ranges across Tactical Series
2026-03-24 - Capability - New configurations add 95G and 250G accelerometer ranges and a 4,000°/s gyroscope range. The options cover the VN-110, VN-210 and VN-310 families and are drop-in compatible without form, fit or function changes. Engineering units were available for immediate evaluation, with production supported at VectorNav’s AS9100-certified Dallas operation.
Source - VectorNav launches VN-210-S and VN-310-S tactical GNSS/INS systems
2023-10-09 - Product Launch - VN-210-S combines a tactical-grade IMU with a triple-frequency 448-channel GNSS receiver. VN-310-S adds dual GNSS receivers for GNSS-compassing and heading estimates in stationary or low-dynamic operation. The systems target RF-congested and GNSS-contested use cases relevant to autonomous vehicles, aerospace, defense, marine, and robotics integrators.
