About Wingcopter 198

Wingcopter 198 uses three tilt rotors to take off vertically, transition into fixed-wing cruise and land without a runway. The electric aircraft carries delivery boxes or professional sensing payloads across medical, humanitarian, industrial and survey missions.

Autonomous flight-control software manages route execution, transition and landing, while fleet software supports simultaneous supervision of several aircraft. Triple Drop configurations deliver packages to multiple locations during one mission. Wingcopter has deployed the platform in healthcare logistics and tested lidar survey payloads through commercial partnerships.

    2023-05-12 - Funding - The European Investment Bank provided €40 million in quasi-equity financing to Wingcopter. The financing was intended to scale production of the Wingcopter 198 and support drone delivery logistics services. The EIB framed the investment around electric delivery drones and logistics services for harder-to-reach locations.
