About Zipline Platform 2

Platform 2 uses a quiet electric aircraft that travels between a distribution site and the delivery area, then hovers above the destination. A separate Delivery Zip descends on a tether, uses onboard sensing to position itself and places the package at a selected point.

The aircraft remains clear of trees, people and buildings during delivery and returns automatically for charging and reloading. Zipline integrates the system with restaurant, retail and healthcare fulfilment workflows and operates fleets through remote monitoring and flight-management infrastructure.
