Galaxie D

Galaxie D combines a synchronous servo motor with WITTENSTEIN’s Galaxie zero-backlash transmission in one hollow-shaft actuator. Four robustness-line sizes span 144–263 millimetres in outer diameter, with hollow shafts from 26 to 57 millimetres. Published maximum acceleration torque rises from 450 to 4,050 newton-metres across the range.

The hollow shaft routes cables or process media through the rotation axis, reducing external interfaces in machine tools, packaging equipment and robotic joints. Nominal output torque spans 190–1,685 newton-metres, while maximum output speed ranges from 125 rpm in the smallest size to 61 rpm in the largest. Encoder, connector, cooling and holding-brake choices vary by application. Galaxie D is an actuator family with size-dependent values, so no single torque or envelope applies to every configuration.
