About Airbound
Airbound concentrates its engineering on aircraft weight, aerodynamic efficiency and repeatable manufacture. The TRT's blended wing and body use a lightweight carbon-fibre structure; the aircraft rises vertically before transitioning to forward flight, allowing it to serve delivery points without a runway. Its flight-systems team develops the controllers and software for the aircraft, ground stations and fleet operation.
The intended delivery workflow joins flight with loading, docking and handover at the destination. Airbound is developing that operating system alongside the vehicle, with healthcare and small-parcel transport as target applications. Ground handling and return flights are part of the logistics design, so the service depends on more than the aircraft's advertised payload and range.
