About Cognata
Cognata develops simulation software for training and validating automated-driving and autonomous-system functions. Its digital environments combine road geometry, traffic, weather, lighting and behavioural scenarios with models of cameras, radar, LiDAR and other sensors. Engineering teams generate ordinary and rare events at scale, then exercise perception, planning and control software through software-, hardware- and vehicle-in-the-loop workflows.
Scenario libraries and synthetic sensor data support development before a physical fleet is available, while repeatable tests allow teams to compare releases and investigate failures. Cognata extends the platform beyond passenger vehicles into defence, mining, agriculture and smart-city applications, where different machines and operating domains require configurable terrain, actors and communications. The company also packages simulation-derived autonomy capabilities for deployment onto operational vehicles.

The companies said Cognata’s Autonomous Vehicle Simulation Suite would be integrated into Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The partnership was aimed at autonomous-vehicle makers designing, testing and validating autonomous mobility experiences in virtual worlds. Cognata said earlier simulation helps engineers test components against edge cases before vehicle deployment.
