About Omnia Wheels
Omnia Wheel manufactures patented multidirectional wheels for robots, conveyors and manually moved equipment. Its polymer wheel uses over-moulded rollers around the rim, combining the directional tracking of a fixed wheel with lateral movement and allowing a load to change direction without waiting for a caster to swivel.
The range spans 35- to 180-millimetre products for light robotic platforms, heavier mobile equipment, conveyor transfers and floor applications. Three-wheel arrangements can provide holonomic movement with translation and rotation controlled independently. Parent company Rotacaster manufactures standard and customised configurations in New South Wales, including wheel geometry, mounting and application-specific mobility solutions.

- 2021-05-20 - Product Launch - Rotacaster introduces 180 mm OMNIA wheel for heavy holonomic systems
Pre-production testing showed dynamic load capacity increasing by 25–54% depending on roller hardness, with loads up to 200 kg per wheel. Lateral rollability improved by 24–30%, lowering the push and pull force required for sideways movement. The 180 mm wheel supports R2 and R3 configurations, a standard 20 mm bearing and a hexagonal driven bore intended to improve torque transfer.
