About TDK
TDK supplies the electronic building blocks that let equipment sense movement, manage energy and communicate. Within robotics, its sensing portfolio covers inertial measurement, magnetic position detection, microphones and distance measurement. These components feed information into navigation, motor control and human-interaction systems built by equipment manufacturers.
The company’s sensor offering includes software as well as devices: algorithms, multi-sensor interfaces and on-chip processing help turn raw measurements into usable signals. Inertial sensors support motion estimation and camera stabilisation, while magnetic sensors measure the position of moving joints or wheels. The architecture combines a six-axis IMU, three-axis TMR magnetometer and on-chip fusion and calibration software. Four hardware configurations combine ICM-45608 or ICM-45689 IMUs with ICT-15318 or ICT-15312 magnetometers. The high-dynamic IMU variants support ±32 g acceleration and ±4000 degrees per second angular-rate ranges.
