About
About Nuro
Nuro works with vehicle and mobility partners through an integration programme that combines autonomy software, modular hardware and deployment tooling. Partners license the Nuro Driver and collaborate on the vehicle design, manufacturing arrangement and validation process. The supporting toolkit provides simulation, data infrastructure and connectivity for developing and operating the resulting fleet.
Its simulation environment combines recorded road data with synthetic changes, allowing engineers to introduce faults, measure latency and test scenarios beyond those encountered during a particular drive. Fleet data feeds further development, and connected vehicles receive software updates over the air. This gives Nuro a role across initial vehicle integration, testing and ongoing software operation as partners prepare passenger and goods-transport services.

Notes
Profile notes
- Nuro moved from operating delivery vehicles to licensing autonomy across vehicle types
reviewed 2026-07-20 - Nuro paused the capital-intensive expansion of its autonomous delivery service, reduced staff and redirected its technology toward licensing the Nuro Driver to automakers and mobility operators. Later vehicle programmes with partners do not restore the earlier model in which Nuro designed, owned and operated a large fleet of purpose-built delivery robots.
