About
About CaoCao Mobility
CaoCao Mobility operates a technology-led transport network that combines purpose-built electric vehicles, dispatch, fleet management and driver services. Its established ride-hailing operation provides the operating base for RoboX, a physical-AI strategy extending the network into autonomous passenger and freight capacity. CaoCao Robo OS is intended to connect service demand with Robotaxi, Robovan and future specialised vehicles.
The Robotaxi programme combines Geely vehicle engineering and autonomous-driving technology with CaoCao's maintenance, charging, customer-service, emergency-response and order-allocation capabilities. Pilot Robotaxi services began in Hangzhou and Suzhou in February 2025, and a steering-wheel-free L4 vehicle designed for sustained fleet use was targeted for launch by the end of 2026. Robovan applies the same operating model to logistics, positioning CaoCao as the fleet and service layer around the vehicles rather than solely an autonomy developer.

Events
- 2026-08-05 - Partnership - CaoCao signs Zhuhai smart-mobility demonstration agreement
CaoCao and Xiangzhou District signed the strategic cooperation agreement on 1 August 2026; CaoCao published the announcement on 5 August. The project combines ground transport and low-altitude mobility for use cases including urban commuting, coastal sightseeing and scenic-area shuttle services. CaoCao plans initial autonomous-vehicle validation on designated roads, followed by phased fleet expansion and a hub for battery swapping, inspection and remote dispatch.
Source - 2026-08-03 - Partnership - CaoCao and Dazhong sign Yangtze Delta Robotaxi agreement
The initial stage covers Robotaxi demonstration operations, operating qualifications, vehicle management, platform integration, ground support and safety services. If policy and operating conditions mature, the parties plan to progress to jointly operated large-scale Robotaxi fleets and refine the operating model. CaoCao will lead the full-stack Robotaxi and onboard systems work, while Dazhong contributes local mobility operations, vehicle management and service support.
Source - 2026-07-27 - Deployment - CaoCao begins Robotaxi public-road testing without a driver-seat safety operator
Testing uses designated pickup points and is being run on real urban roads in Hangzhou's Binjiang District. The programme is small-scale and controlled, with the stated aim of validating operational stability and service reliability. CaoCao had received Hangzhou approval for safety-operator-free intelligent-vehicle road testing in April 2026.
